The Graduate School places particular emphasis on five-year integrated graduate education, and faculty from various fields collaborate to provide education and research guidance, regardless of traditional academic fields. The Graduate School aims to cultivate highly specialized research capabilities, broad perspectives, and creative individuals. In 2004, following the incorporation of national universities, the Graduate School was reorganized into six master's and five doctoral programs to better fulfill its role in contributing graduate education and research to society and fostering human resources. This reorganization was intended to align with the basic and specialized education systematically promoted in each department of the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Agriculture. It aims to teach the specialized knowledge necessary for graduate research activities and to provide the broad scientific knowledge necessary for future careers as researchers and engineers in science and technology.

The Central Council for Education's report of September 2005 recommended that graduate school education be made more substantial, that is, that the systematic development of educational curricula be strengthened, and that, particularly in doctoral programs, educational functions be enhanced so that attractive education can be provided while students are exposed to a wealth of advanced academic research.At our university, too, with approximately 60% of undergraduate students in the field of natural sciences continuing on to graduate school, there is an increased need to strengthen the cooperation between undergraduate and graduate education programs more than ever before and to systematically strengthen graduate school education.

Against this background, in order to enhance and strengthen the new educational programs and further improve the substance and sophistication of graduate school education, the Graduate School was reorganized into five master's program majors and five doctoral program majors from 2010. In addition, to ensure that the undergraduate educational programs are continuous with the graduate school's master's and doctoral program major courses, the majors and major courses have been reorganized. Furthermore, in order to place importance on the learning positions and perspectives of graduate students, the "major courses" have been made into "courses" in the educational program.

["post-1512","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":
["GET
