Associate Professor Kazutaka Ueda and his colleagues from the Faculty of Engineering (Natural Sciences) received the JSEE 2025 Annual Conference International Session Award for their presentation.

At the 73rd Annual Meeting and International Session (International Conference) of the Japan Society for Engineering Education, held from August 27th to 29th, 2025, Associate Professor Kazutaka Ueda and his colleagues from the Center for Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, received the "International Session Award," which is given to outstanding presentations.

The Japan Society for Engineering Education selects outstanding papers from those presented at its annual international conference sessions, and after deliberation by the Society's International Committee on October 17th, this paper was highly evaluated as worthy of the award.

Based on the fourth medium-term plan (FY2022 to FY2027), the Faculty of Engineering at our university has been developing a curriculum to enhance the content of education for developing global competence. This presentation explains the curriculum development efforts from FY2023 onwards. Furthermore, using FY2024 as an example, we demonstrated that these efforts had a positive impact on the gradual acquisition of global competence.

This is the second consecutive year that a presentation from our Faculty of Engineering has received the International Session Award, and the fourth time in the last five years, demonstrating the high regard for our Faculty of Engineering's education in engineering education and research.
