Program Overview

This is a "Specialized Deepening" degree program that cultivates highly specialized professionals and researchers/educators who can solve problems in human cultural and social activities by deeply exploring traditional and established academic fields such as philosophy, history, literature, psychology, media studies, and information social sciences.

The type of person the program cultivates

This program aims to cultivate individuals who will contribute to the development of the region and the world. It focuses on human cultural and social activities, and cultivates students who study and research the humanities, including philosophy, history, literature, psychology, media studies, artistic practice, information social sciences, and life, health, and behavioral sciences, to become professionals or researchers and educators who have the ability to identify and explore problems and a strong sense of ethics.

Special Notes

There are special courses available, including the "Clinical Psychology Area" for students aiming to obtain qualifications as a licensed psychologist or clinical psychologist, the "Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language Area" for students aiming to train as Japanese language teachers, and the "General Psychology Area." In particular, the "Clinical Psychology Area" requires an academic ability test at the time of admission.
