Master’s Program of Sciences and Technologies [Specialized Deepening]

Advanced Materials and Fundamental Sciences Program

Changing society with new materials
The power of science

Advanced Materials and Fundamental Sciences Program

Program Overview

Students will study and research physics and space science, which explore the origins and properties of matter and the laws of nature; basic chemistry; mathematical science, which elucidates the laws of numbers, shapes, and data; materials science, which creates new materials and develops their application technologies; and applied chemistry.
This is a "Specialized Deepening" program that provides education in the specialized knowledge necessary for such research and the advanced knowledge required for social implementation, thereby cultivating highly specialized human resources and researchers and educators who can independently respond to challenges in science and technology.

The type of person the program cultivates

We aim to develop individuals with broad insight and creativity who can proactively address scientific and technological challenges.
In particular, through education and research into the origins of matter, the laws and principles of nature, the functions of artificial materials, the development of new materials and technologies aimed at implementation in society and industry, and the mathematical sciences behind natural and social phenomena, we aim to produce professionals and researchers/educators who not only have advanced specialized knowledge and interdisciplinary knowledge, but also the ability to discover and explore problems, and universal, versatile knowledge and skills.
