Niigata University Special Scholarship Program
The Niigata University Special Scholarship Program aims to ensure a stable learning environment by providing scholarships to students who are primarily responsible for paying for their tuition fees (hereinafter referred to as "tuition payers") and are finding it difficult to continue their studies due to a sudden change in their household finances.
Eligible applicants for this program are undergraduate and graduate students of the University (excluding non-regular students such as research students and course students) who meet any of the following criteria.
- Those who have found it difficult to continue their studies due to a sudden change in their household finances caused by the loss of employment, bankruptcy, accident, illness or death of the person responsible for their education, or by a disaster such as a fire or flood.
- Those who have applied for the Emergency Scholarship or Emergency Relief Scholarship of the Japan Support Organization

Niigata University Study Support Loan System
The Niigata University Student Support Loan Program aims to help students who, due to financial reasons such as family circumstances, are unable to cover temporary costs of academic expenses (travel expenses for attending conferences, books, teaching materials, tuition fees, etc.) by providing student support funds to secure a learning environment. Eligible applicants for this program are undergraduate and graduate students at the university (excluding non-regular students such as research students and course students) who meet any of the following criteria:
- Those who are temporarily unable to cover the necessary tuition fees due to financial reasons, etc.
- Persons equivalent to those in the previous item
