When should I apply for tuition exemptions and scholarships?

After enrollment

Can I get a teaching license?

This can be obtained by completing the required subjects and having a master's degree.

What is the deadline for submitting a dissertation?

This is determined annually, so please inquire at the Academic Affairs Office.

Where is the student affairs office?

The Master’s Program of Humanities and Social Sciences is located on the first floor of Building D, Humanities and Social Sciences Building. The Natural Sciences major is located on the first floor of the Graduate School of Science and Technology Administration Building.

Can I stay in a student dormitory?

Can I commute to school by car?

Commuting to school by car is permitted depending on the commute distance, work situation, etc. Applications must be made after enrollment.

 Is there a TA?

There is a TA system in place, so if you are interested in becoming a TA, please ask the academic affairs office or your supervisor after enrolling.

My address has changed. What procedures do I need to follow?

After making any changes via the Academic Affairs System, go to "Student Information" → "Update Student Registration Information" and be sure to notify the Academic Affairs Section.

How do I apply for a certificate?

Certificates of enrollment and transcripts can be issued through the university's certificate issuing system. For other certificates, please fill out an application form at the Academic Affairs Office. Certificates issued at the office generally take three business days, so please apply well in advance.

I lost my student ID card, what should I do?

Please apply for a reissue of your student ID card at the Academic Affairs Office.

I would like to take a leave of absence. Until what date can I take such a leave? What procedures are required?

Students can take a leave of absence for the same number of years as the standard completion period.

Can I study abroad as an exchange student?

It is possible to study abroad at universities in various countries with which we have university-level or department-level exchange agreements. However, because the time limit for completing graduate school is short, you will need to consult with your supervisor and make a plan.

Are there any procedures I need to follow when traveling abroad?

After graduation

Can I take only subjects without earning degree credits?

Although it is a non-regular student, there is a system called "degree student." Since tuition fees are paid for each subject, it is possible to take only the subjects you need. (If you achieve the required grades, you will be issued a certificate of the credits you have earned.)

How can I become a research student?

To become a research student, you must have a master's degree or higher. Please contact the Academic Affairs Section for more information.

Can I get an MBA?

MBA stands for Master of Business Administration, but the Master of Business Administration that can be obtained in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Contemporary Social Sciences, can also be considered an MBA. However, the MBA that is often heard these days often refers to a Master of Business Administration degree from a professional graduate school, so please consider carefully what skills you would like to acquire before making your selection.
